FOR VANITY'S SAKE! I WAS NEVER A PARIS HILTON FAN. MY FAVORITE GIRLS AND WHY

Well, still with all due respect to Paris Hilton, she deserves the popularity vote. But I was never a fan. Why? OK. I'd just keep it to myself. I don't want my opinions clouding your judgment. Haha! Anyways. here are my favorite girls! It's a redhead powerhouse if you would come to realize.

MY ONLY FILIPINA BEAUTY ICON
Photobucket
Imelda Marcos is my only bet. She is really divine. She loves shoes and I do, too. She claims that there is no extravagance in beauty, but there is in ugliness. I am still trying hard to understand that for a long time since I heard her say it. She wants all things beautiful, by the way, who doesn't?
I just can't stop myself to love her more. Up to this date, she still has the glow. Truly imeldific.

THE FIRST EVER GEISHA IS MY ICON
Photobucket
Hey hey hey, she's Japanese! I love her! Mineko Iwasaki was the first ever geisha. She is simply beautiful then. Her skin on her days back then is truly something to die for. I still admire her up to this date. She really aged gracefully. There's no doubt that I really have this thing for beautiful people hailing from the origin of my roots.

MY CHILDHOOD IDOL
Photobucket
I love her band, No Doubt. I love the singer that she is. She is hip, fun and cool. She has got this crazy outgoing personality that is so sexy and glamorous at the same time. I am a Gwen stefani fan since I was in Grade 3 I think. She rocks. Her abs and her teeth are gorgeous.

I LOVE THIS SONGSTRESS
Photobucket
Tori Amos. Yes the girl with some weird songs and equally weird music videos. I can't get over her musical style. A Sorta Fairytale is one music video and song I am obsessed about. I find her attractive and appealing. The red locks and her voice have it.

THE HAZE!
Photobucket
OK. I don't care if she's a porn star and does all the heck of adult stuff on film. Jenna Haze remains to be one of the hottest female in the planet. I adore her hair, her skin and youthful looks. She's got a fab bod too! One hot birthday suit!

THE UKRAINIAN HOLLYWOOD BEAUTY
Photobucket
Vera Farmiga. I saw her in Running Scared (a movie starring Paul Walker) and I became an instant fan. She's lovely and sexy. She does acting good. You will be completely moved. I find her facial features so incredible appealing, too. Just my taste, though.

"CARMEN"
Photobucket
Paz Vega. Appeared in movies like Carmen, Spanglish, The Other Side of the Bed etc.
I adore her for her looks and her charm. Definitely a goddess. She's a hot momma! Her eyes is in fire everytime she gazes. Her skin and hair is terrific too. Love her teeth. Haha. The smile! Looking at her makes me want to take care of myself more than anything. Smiley.

THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL
Photobucket
Marcia Cross. Bree Van de Kamp in Desperate Housewives. I am not a fan of the show, but I am definitely her fan! She's got the fairest skin of all! Few wrinkles, and super bright all over. I admire how she takes good care of her skin. What I've gotten from her? This redhead never gets exposed to the sun however impossible it is. I suppose she wears a very high SPF! If you would see her pics on the net, she's always wearing a hat and shades outside, often times with her twins. I do the same too. But sometimes I forget the hat, I just have my umbrella. Haha.
Oh vanity.

LL IS FOR LINDSAY LOHAN
Photobucket
I am a fan of Lindsay. I like her skanky goodness. I like her style too. She's got a fabolous cleavage! Her boobs are real. Well, I don't know why I like her so much. I don't care much about her antics. It doesn't matter to me really.
Her hair is like locks of eternity. She's got the most beautiful hair in Hollywood. She has my vote. I just hope she quits smoking. It's doing her skin bad. Oh well.

BRITNEY'S ON MY LIST
Photobucket
She may have gotten a bit crazy on some part of her life but I still love this chick. She's so sexy! Well she's sexier way back then. Looking back at I'm a Slave for You video - she's the bomb! She still makes it to my list. Crazy hotness. She's getting back on track too!

MY NEWEST BET
Photobucket
Pathology star Lauren Lee Smith is my newest favorite girl. Watch the movie. You'll find out why. This tall and beautifully stunning creature also starred in the L Word.
Her seductive Canadian looks and attitude is way too sexxxaayyyy!!! Gets the bread and honey! She also starred in the Canadian film Lie With Me. I am a big fan of her now, and I want to see more Lauren Lee Smith!!!!!

You have my list! Did you find paris Hilton in it? OK. I am redundant.

I GET DANDRUFF WITH COMMERCIAL SHAMPOOS BUT NOT WITH THIS ONE!

That's Crystalderm Patchouli Herbal Soap with Aloe Vera. It's a shampoo bar! I have been using as a natural hair grower and scalp cleanser for quite sometime now. I have realized that it's not the place where I study or work that gives me dandruff, but the liquid shampoos I have been using before. Now, that I have found what suits what my hair needs, I'm not going back to those chemically-laden shampoos that give me the itch and dry hair! I have long and naturally wavy hair and this products gives beautiful body to it.

Photobucket

My mom is a fan of this too, the patches of barber's itch on her hairline have started to show hair growth. The products has a very leafy and herbal scent. When you wash your hair with it let the lather stay on for like two minutes. You will feel a very coarse result after rinsing it off. So you really have to use a conditioner with this shampoo bar. Just apply your favorite conditioner after and rinse. Be sure to prepare a vinegar and water solution as a final rinse to detangle hair and add shine.

A 160 gram soap costs PhP50.00. Also available in a smaller bar.
It's available at Landmark TriNoma, and I just bought my recent stock over at SM Centerpoint Sta. Mesa. Crystalderm has a stall there. I'm not sure if it's in second or third floor though.
Thanks to my bf Louie who accompanied me just to buy it there. The concierge can't find the stall in their list of shops/ directory. (she said wala daw Crystalderm dun sa Certerpoint, but me and my bf looked for it and was able to find it!)

How to care for it: A big bar would last you very long if you keep it air-dried after every use.

My ProVanity Rating:
Crystalderm Patchouli Herbal Soap with Aloe Vera
*Shampoo Bar*
VVVVV (PERFECT MATE!)

Here's a nice pic with my friends when we went to Enchanted Kingdom. My hair looks good here. "Hindi ako bad hair day nyan!"
Kaso di ako nakatingin sa cam. Dalawang cam kasi kumukuha when that shot was taken. =)

I'm with my beautiful friends here, Mayjay and Ate Karen.

HBC'S SAN SAN AGE DEFENSE PRESSED POWDER DOESN'T COST A LOT BUT GIVES FLAWLESS TOUCH!

I just have to buy this because of two reasons: First, my White Result Two Way Foundation dropped and the compact powder got cracked and messy all over, I can't use it anymore and I met up with my bf today and I don't want him to see me in my oily goodness. haha.

I have to admit that I have underestimated San San Make-Up but not until I came across this product.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Let me review it this way.

SAN SAN AGE DEFENSE PRESSED POWDER
What's your shade?
Shade 2

Is it affordable?
Yes. Costs like PhP110.00 only. Not bad!

How's the packaging and applicator?
Refillable compact case. Neat and presentable.
I love the sponge that comes with it! It's the softest of all I have ever tried. Plus, it has it's own space on the case so you don't have to worry about germs and bacteria piling up on the powder compact.
**"For some weird reason, I used the powder on my bf, Louie, out of boredom and fun, and he affirmed on the applicator's uber-softness."**

Coverage deal?
Great. It delivers a flawless and smooth finish. Starts off matte and ends up beautifully sheer after 5 hours.

Does it work for the oilies?
Yes, I think this would work best with ladies who have combination skin. Like me.

Did it cause you breakouts?
NO.

How about for people with acidic facial skin?
I have acidic facial skin and I believe that this powder minimized it.

Any added points?
The SPF 15 and added skin vitamins A, C and E are good 'features'. I hope they do my skin good.

Bad ones?
Contains some parabens. Has a bit of classic talc smell but it's not that strong. The smells wears off after you apply it on skin.

Would you buy it again?
Yeppers. I would have it refilled when the compact gets exhausted.

DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THESE BENCH SKINCARE BABIES

Hmmm...
These are two items we tend to overlook at Bench counters:

BENCH ACNEDOT
Photobucket
and
Photobucket
BENCH CLEARPORE NOSE CLAY PACK

Notes:
Well, I am a satisfied user of Acnedots since last year, when I get occasional break-outs, I treat my zits with honey and green tea and I apply a 'dot' over the inflamed pimple so that it wouldn't be infected with unnecessary dirt and bacteria. It never fails to help in the whole pimple clearing process I do whenever I spot a zit. It does wonders. It helps to make them less inflamed and near to vanishing. each dot contains 0.0.5% of Salicylic acid, an agent known to fight pimple causing bacteria. I keep my Acnedots on its sheet pack in a cool and dry place.

BTW, I am a first time user of Clearpore, it is some black clay stuff in a patch that you apply on wet skin. It stiffens on your nose after 15 minutes of application indicating that the patch is ready to be removed. I've tried the procedure and it helped me clear my nose from stubborn blackheads. It's my problem eversince. It did not remove the blackheads totally but it made my nose appear a lot clearer. I'll buy a few more strips and watch the improvement. you can use it 2 times a week with 3 days interval between every application.

So would I buy these stuffs again? Yes. I always have Acnedots. It's a staple for me. I'll observe my progress with the second product.

MY TAKE ON ILOG MARIA BAMBOO CHARCOAL SOAP

I am a believer of honey-based beauty products. Honey never fails me. Now out of this loyalty to honey, I got curious with this local brand, Ilog Maria. Ilog Maria produces virgin honey, and other products such as beauty soaps, scrub and more. Girls in GT are raving about the brand so I was convinced to give in and take my share on the products.

Fortunately, I was able to find a place where I can buy my target product, which is the Bamboo Charcoal and Bergamot with Lime Soap. It claims to have a whitening action and skin detoxifying properties. I bought the soap for a marked-up price at the Riverbanks Mall the other day.

Photobucket

My Judgment: I was very impressed. The soap lathers well, I don't know why others reviewed it otherwise. The smell is soooo invigorating. Very spa-like! The bathroom smelled like spa. I used it on my face too. I left the lather for five minutes and didn't feel any sting or sign of irritation. After bathing, I was so refreshed. When I look myself up the mirror, I was amazed! My skin was clear and bright! This is no joke, I am fair with every review I make. haha!

Wait!: The soap is all natural but it contains very small charcoal bits. If you have sensitive skin and happens to be allergic with any charcoal product, use it with caution. Do a skin test first. Also, don't rub the soap directly on facial skin, the charcoal in it is a bit abrasive, you might scratch yourself!

Bottomliner: Two thumbs way up! I'll buy my stash of Ilog Maria products, too. Maybe I'll order online. Their product line is exciting so try to check 'em out!

ON EXPENSIVE FACIAL WATER SPRAYS AND THE WISE ALTERNATIVE

Photobucket

OK. My cousin from the US sent me loads of Evian Brumisateur Travel Trio packs a year ago, I got so happy. "Super-sosi na pangspray sa mukha eh!" The packs were on sale at that time on Sephora because the company is trying to get rid of the batch that has the classic packaging then. I enjoyed misting my face with this 'water from the French alps' (hehe!) and somehow I felt beautifully relieved and freshened everytime. I exhausted my stock for less than a year.

Then on the next package, my cousin sent me just two Avene Eau Thermal Spring water Spray, also a product of France. I enjoyed using this too, but my sprays lasted for like three months only.

Now, what spray do I have? Just a spritz bottle with mineral water in it. Now you see the logic.
Avene costs a lot more than Evian. (Actually even abroad.)

Bottomliner: My favorite would be Evian, because the water in it somehow tingles and evaporates with freshness on my face everytime. Kept me fresh then. The Avene Eau Thermal has this distinct smell channeling that of the trace mineral products. There are times when I get nauseated of the smell. I only use it then when I get heat pimples.

Just My Tip: Want to have a basic facial spray? Buy a small atomizer that would fit your "kikay kits" and buy a small bottle of Pure Mineral Water. The atomizer should be new, and should serve this sole purpose. as for the water perse, try Nestle Pure Life, or Viva Mineral Water. Use this to fill in your atomizer. Just remember that you should not drink from the water bottle of the mineral water for doing so will spoil it. Keep the bottle refrigerated too. Just refill the atomizer when the fluid runs out.

Mist your face everytime you need to freshen up, and to wake up skin every morning before taking a bath.

THIS FISHY OIL IS GOOD FOR OUR SKIN!

I know, I am a self-confessed skin supplement addict which makes me a fish oil freak, too. It's not what you think, I don't overdose the fish oil, I am just an avid taker! I take two fish oil caps once or twice a day, depending on my skin condition.

I discovered this supplement from my Dad who is taking it for his joint and heart health. Then, I researched what it can do for my skin. I even researched about EPA and DHA! I discovered very good news. Now, i am such a believer. I have been taking it for less than a year and I am so amazed with what it can do for my skin and well being.

I've tried generic ones and another Aussie brand, Thompsons, but nothing beats Nature's Own. Why do I say so? It's affordable, it's a trusted Aussie health care brand and the product is safe from any artificial surfactant, colour, preservative, it has no traces of fish pesticides and heavy metals such as mercury.

Have to thank my Dad for this stuff. He asked his brother to get this and gave me the whole tub of 400 capsules. Talking about free stuff. =)

Photobucket
Photobucket

Bottomliner: Being a tutor means a lot of mental activities. I have to stay focused. This helps a lot. I slip and slide once in a while and my joints have never prevailed this strong. I love my skin so much I hate getting even the tiniest of a line. This one helped me a lot in achieving young, healthy, and beautiful wrinkle-free skin . Genius!

PRODUCT TRIAL TIME: POND'S AGE DEFENSE MULTI-BENEFIT ILLUMINATING CREAM SPF 15 PA++

When it comes to giving new products a try, never buy their large packs. Always stick to trial sizes so you wouldn't waste a lot of money when the products don't work on you.

I am currently roadtesting Pond's Age Defense Multi-Benefit Illuminating Cream SPF 15 PA++. The trial pack costs about PhP30.00 per 10ml sachet.
Photobucket

Product Key Ingredients:
Vitamin B3 and White Tea Extract plus the SPF 15 PA++

What it promises to do:
Increase skin's natural protection by 15 times against the leading cause of skin ageing.
Visibly illuminates skin by reducing dullness and discoloration.
Helps protect skin from age-accelerating UVA and UVB rays.
Minimizes the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Trial Take:
I have been using the product for about five days now and it feels good going on. I only use it after washing my face in the morning. It's moisturizing but did not gave me break-outs. I'll update any significant change after I exhausted the trial pack.

UPDATER: Hmmm, after exhausting the whole trial pack, I was still not able to see any illuminating effect. Good moisturizing product though. I will not purchase again.

THE WONDERS OF TEA IN MY BEAUTY REGIMEN

I am a big fan of tea. I use teabags more than loose leaf tea because I find them equally effective and more practical to use.
Lemme present a roundabout about the benefits I get from tea.
Photobucket
My tea stash. Top, Lipton Quality Black Teabags from Australia. Left, Green Tea I bought locally. Right, Yamamotoyama Genmai-cha Green Tea with Toasted Brown Rice from Australia. Below, A brand of Chinese green tea.

1. When I need to stay up, I drink my green tea.
2. When I need relaxation and light feeling after a tiring day, a cup of black tea is the key!
3. I enjoy younger and more beautiful skin with my everyday tea bath. I sometimes bathe in green tea bathwater but my favorite would be the black tea bathwater and sometimes I use an infusion of both. I believe that black tea bathwater maintains the fairness of my skin and green tea leaves an additional natural sun protection on my skin. I use a zinc oxide base SPF product to work with it. So far, so good.
4. When I get occasional pimples, I just wash my face with green tea water and leave it to dry. The following day, my zits appear less inflamed and near to healing.
5. It's one of my anti-wrinkle weapon. It protects my skin, my teeth and my gums.
6. I have a good overall feeling after I drink tea. Less bloating, yey!

After this vacation, I will start making a pore minimizing toner using green tea. I will infuse a strong brew of loose leaf green tea this time together with my black tea and probably a brown rice tea, which I will buy the next time I shop. I will put the infusion in an ice box and freeze it. (the rest in a distilled glass bottle) I could use it after I wash my face. This is more effective I believe because it is natural. I don't want to put a lot of chemically-laden products on my facial skin so i will be using this one.

Here's a picture of my boiling black tea bathwater.
Photobucket

Bottomliner: Time to discover more tea products!

THE BODY SHOPS' BORN LIPPY LIP BALM DISAPPOINTS ME

I am not so fond of The Body Shop products but on one sale I went to, I bought this Born Lippy Lip Balm in strawberry. It costs like PhP220.00 for a small balm tub.

The only good point for this lip balm is the tint, which is a lovely strawberry pink; the smell is okay.
It feels good on the first minute of application, afterwhich it becomes waxy on the lips and not moisturizing at all! I won't buy this stuff again. I'd rather spend my money on something worth keeping.

Photobucket

I don't want to give a Provanity Rating cos I am very disappointed. Sigh.

THESE KOREAN MASKS ARE SO GOOD, YOU'LL LOVE YOUR SKIN WHEN YOU WAKE UP. EVERYTIME!

I discovered these masks a month ago, in Watsons, when I was buying my usual stuff and I saw these Purederm Facial Masks. I bought a piece. I used the pack that night. I let the mask stay on for like 30 minutes, It has eye peep holes so I was still able to watch the documentary my professor asked us to.

The morning after I used the mask, the result was incredible. I had noticeably brighter skin! For just PhP50.oo, it's a steal. I plan to use this whenever a special event comes up. I will use this to wake up to a glowing bright facial skin.

I've already consumed two packs. I like the Brightening Essence Variant more that the Pearl Powder Variant. I have one left of the Brightening. I keep it refrigerated.

My ProVanity Rating:
Purederm Brightening Essence Facial Mask
VVVVV (4 V's out of 5)

Bottomliner: Bright and glowing skin the morning after. I'll keep a stash of this I think. Will stick with the variant too. Will check out more Purederm products! Yay!

MY STUDE THINKS I AM SIXTEEN: MY LAUGH LINES ALMOST AT REST AND I AIN"T FROWNING!

When the season is up for younger looking skin, one should not compromise. A lot of things contribute to aging and some of them are not even known to most of us.

Last week, I am so glad to receive a few compliments that I accepted it with all my heart! One of my second grade kiddies (I'm a tutor by the way) Chris, said "Teacher, bakit amputi mo ngayon?" I was like, "Chiz, really?" He said, "Yes.". I laughed and went on to work.

The next day, another student, Jefferson, asked me "Teacher, how old are you? My brother has turned 20, how about you?" I said, "Hulaan mo..." He said without hesitation, "You look sixteen so are you only sixteen?". I laughed loudly and said, "Wrong guess." he replied "Sixteen? Seventeen? Eighteen? Nineteen?" I just said, "Enough on my age. Start doing your assignment now, Babi."

The truth is that I am turning 21 next year February.

Maybe I look sixteen. I don't know. I think I look my age though.
Here's a recent picture I took last night.
Photobucket
What I have on: Moisturizer+Lip Balm and Petroleum Jelly, hence the dewy look.
A few problem areas like whiteheads/blackheads on my nose and some puffy eyebag action going on. Thanks to ACV, GSE and PH338 for the glow and for the hint of natural flush on my cheeks.

Afterwhich, I applied concealer and white cornstarch powder to create this look:
Photobucket
Not much of a difference but this look is slightly matte. Slight imperfections are covered. The mineral concealer from Ellana (awake shade) worked well, the white cornstarch powder gave a smooth finish without making my face so made up.

Well I guess I have just practiced a healthy lifestyle, but I also have bad ways like sleeping late, binging but that's about it. I don't smoke, I sometimes drink but it happens rarely now. I don't go out in the sun without SPF and my umbrella and my shades, and I don't make ugly faces during photos.

Did you know that wrinkles are produced when you do ugly facial expressions too often. Even drinking on straw at all times give you lines around the mouth. I've been doing the 'therapist face' for like months and it has helped me a lot to preserve facial skin youthfulness. What is a 'therapist face' by the way? I read it in some thriller novel called The Delilah Complex. The sex therapist there never lets a single facial expression show when she has a consultation with clients. she does it all the time. It gave me the idea to do the same; so even when I am amazed, stressed, shocked-I don't let other people know it. I just give a real relaxed and calm face. Haha. Funny and vain me, I know. At least, I don't get ugly lines and people around me wouldn't know what's going through my mind.

Well laugh lines are just okay. I consider them healthy facial lines. Especially when you've got funny friends, you really can't help but laugh. I laugh almost everyday last semester, because of my friends, special mention to my super friend Jantzen, who makes me laugh really hard with her jokes.

Nevertheless I laugh in a daily basis!!!!

Problems come and go, but don't fret. Smile! Frown no more. Do what you can to solve it. Don't let stress take a toll on your life. Get up and get going!

Age is just a number and a manner of traveling you know.

LAST OF MY LANCOME HIGH RESOLUTION LOOT

Photobucket
This is a classic. There's a new version I think, the High-Res with Fiberlastine.
I would normally scrimp on the regular moisturizers but not with eye creams. That's my rule.
I've consumed a jar of this one and a separate eye cream months back. Now I am downing the last tub from my Lancome loot. It's a 15 gram anti-wrinkle cream which is a freebie alongside the pair.
Photobucket
It applies and absorbs quicly but smart enough to retain a rich film of moisture on skin. It doesn't have SPF so I layer it over a moisturizer that has SPF.

As of now, I only use this one on my eyes since it works practically the same as the separate eye cream I had, IMO. Have to be smart with using it, too. Yes, to save my eyes for long. Unless my mom send another set as a gift, I would really have to save up for it. Sigh.

My ProVanity Rating:
Lancome High Resolution Anti-wrinkle Cream
VVVVV (PERFECT MATE!)

Bottomliner: The product gave me eye skin younger than my age. It's heaven-sent. Two sentences for a great product!

PH338 is ♥♥♥!

Photobucket
This is my brand of glutathione right now.
Raves about this all over GirlTalk.
Can't blame the ladies. This stuff is so good. It's from Japan, who can ever doubt?
I've already noticed a rosy glow within three days of use!
Will give a full review on this after I've consumed my 30 day pack.
I take three tabs a day on an empty stomach.

What I am taking along with it:
Puritan's Pride Alpha Lipoic Acid 100mg (thanks to sis Katrine/ Patt for this one, she gave me 36 caps for free!)
Kirlkand Vitamin C Rosehips 500mg every PH338 tab
UVA Power Grapeseed from Italy

BNHMS CITRUS WHITE IS HEAVENLY WHITE!

Ok now, I must admit that I belong to the East Asian women group who are addicted to skin lightening. I've tried almost everything! From soaps to lotions to oral and intravenous skin supplementation! However, it's known to us but not to all that not every skin whitening/lightening/brightening product (whatever-the-politically-correct-word-is-the-most-appropriate! haha) is safe.

So just let me give my take on my favorite all natural whitening soap.
Photobucket
My ProVanity Rating:
By Nature Handmade Soaps Special Bar in Citrus White
VVVVV (PERFECT MATE!)
A healthy choice for skin lightening soap. It is 100% Natural!!!
Contains 4 whitening extracts. Has lots of goatmilk too! I'm so happy because it doesn't contain any harmful chemical. It smells a bit like lemon with a very subtle hint of orange to it. Very spa-like scent. The lather is so creamy, it feels good on skin.
I've consumed a bar and this is my second. A bar lasts very long I tell you. I am totally satisfied with the product. I am not afraid to let it stay on for a few minutes before I rinse off because it does not sting the skin. Will buy this as long as Ms. Darlene (the maker of BNHMS) is making it!

Bottomliner: After using this Citrus White, I always see my tired skin turn bright and energized, as if I had waken up from a beauty sleep. I get this brightening effect all the time! Lovely.

LET'S SEE WHAT'S RATING HIGH AND LOW ON MY LOOT!

Here's some quick product reviews and ratings!

Photobucket
My ProVanity Rating:
Myra-E VitaWhite Whitening Face Lotion
VVVVV (3 v's out of 5)
Great product consistency. No parabens, but has got DMDM Hydantoin.
Light and easy to apply. It has SPF 15 too. I use this to moisturize my face and neck after bathing and at night too. It's fragrant though. I have been using it for like two months already and it's been great! I can see results! Minimizes my facial skin acidity, I believe.
Doesn't cost a lot and doesn't cause me break-outs. Would definitely buy over and over again.
By the way, I bought the tube pack and I got 3 sachet packs for free. Now that's plenty!

Photobucket
My ProVanity Rating:
Happee Night Mint Tooth Gel plus Whitening with Chamomile Extract
VVV
VV (4 v's out of 5)
I love this product. It soothes my gums, cleans thoroughly and gives fresh breath. Very mild on the mouth. Doesn't give me pimples around. I bet you'll exceed the two-minute brushing routine with this. Costs like P45.00 for a 90 gram tube. Try it. You will love it too! It's got Vitamin E and Chamomile Extract too! I don't know why Vitamin E is added though!

Photobucket
My ProVanity Rating:
Nivea Creme (thailand-made)
VVV
VV (3 v's out of 5)
It's hydrating for sure but I am really lemming for the German version of this! I apply this on my eyes sometimes and it does a great job, though. I also apply this on my hands, feet, elbows, knees and body skin which has bruises. It works like Hirudoid, because it makes slight injuries heal fast. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has got Mineral Oil and 2 preservatives that starts with letter M. Grrr.

OCTOBER 20: WENT HEALTH AND BEAUTY SHOPPIN'!

Actually this post has long been due.
October 20, 2008. Monday. The day I went back to work.
The day I got paid and one happy shopping day!
I went to TriNoma after my shift and bought the following things.
I will review some items that I got too! (on posts after this jump)

SUPPLEMENT LOOT
I met up with Kristie (my friend from girltalk) to get the items I ordered from her.
Photobucket
That's 30 pieces of Grapeseed Extract from Italy and 50 pieces of Kirkland Rosehips Vitamin C!!! I so love the GSE. It gives a nice glow to my skin!

GROCERY LOOT
Photobucket
I bought a lot of health drinks.
Dimes Quince Nectar!
The green tea I bought though is meant for my bathwater. It's dirt cheap and it's from China. P38.00 for 25 teabags. Would be a lot of green tea baths for me!
The Italian Wellness Oil Olivero doubles as an oil cleansing method ingredient and supplement for me.
Granny Goose junk foods!
Yakult! Sunkist!
Magnolia Noodles! So yummy! Magnolia claims that their noodle has no cholesterol and MSG. That's why that's the only noodle I buy!
Some Goya chocolates, I just fell for the glamorous packaging. Mallow Blast! Yum!

PERSONAL CARE LOOT
Photobucket
Happee Night Mint Toothpaste which I love so much...Myra E Vita-White which I adore too. Some sponges and BIC Razors for Men. I don't use the ladies' version, this one has got a thicker aloe vera pad on top of it and I really love green things on my bathroom caddy. It's much cheaper than the ladies' version too! The Nivea Creme (travel size only) I bought is for my hands, feet and eyes! Too bad it's not the original recipe! It's not from Germany!!!

Well after buying all the stuffs, I had to go home carrying my bag and two heavy plastic bags!!! And I don't have a car! I took the MRT and jeep! Okay I considered that as a a physical exercise. Whew!

Products reviews coming next... Ahuh.

TEMPORARY CEASE OF MY IVG ADDICTION AND MY NEW FOUND HEALTH AND BEAUTY PRODUCT

Just last Sunday, I had my last IVG (intravenous glutathione) shot. That was my fifteenth. I got so addicted to this stuff for about a month and a half, now I've decided to have a temporary rest from it.

My ProVanity Rating:
Roche Tationil IVG 600mg
VVVVV (3 v's out of 5)
My overall health has improved. My hair and nails strong. My skin has become supple and beautifully lighter now. I rarely get sick. Now that's the package.
If you're too lazy to buy IV materials in the drugstore or too thrifty to buy a box and pay for a professional IV therapist then this stuff isn't for you. haha!

Let me show you the few Tat vials I was able to save from the entire session.
Tat vials

After I had the shot, my IV therapist, Ate Charlotte asked her sister Dani to bring out the product I asked them to buy for me and that I shall pay for.
Bragg
That's Bragg Organic Raw and Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar. I paid P205.00 for a 946ml bottle.

What I'm using it for:
Cellulite Reduction
Detoxification
Hair Rinse
Bathwater Additive
A LOT MORE!!! I'm doing my research on how to maximize the use of this product. Internet can provide pretty much everything, you know.

I have already used it as an additive to my bathwater and my skin appeared smooth.
I added it for my final hair rinse and my scalp was induced to produce more natural oil, which is good for me. I have added it to my final night facial rinse and the dry patch on my face went off the morning after. Had drunk it in a solution of (2tbsps of Bragg + 8 fluid ounce of lukewarm distilled water), I have yet to see the results. Let's see after a week! Will surely put an update!

UPDATE: I am already used to the taste of the lukewarm water and Bragg, solution. I noticed the added glow on my face, maybe it works in sync with the rest of the supplements I am taking now, since it's organic, raw and unfiltered. I don't get any stomach upset when I drink this, too. It tastes a bit like red wine with an added kick! I drink the solution every night, and so far, so good.

GLAD YOU ARE READING THE FIRST POST

A couple of days ago I was kind of obsessed navigating through one beauty blog to another. I was restless, completely in haze reading. Haha! Fortunately though, that sailing left me wanting to start a blog in the name of my VANITY. I just hope I'll try to keep this up and who knows, you might also read anything interesting and useful to you from here. Let 'provanity' start.
